Custom Akari Sculpture (Japanese Lamp) #1 - Square
In 1951, Isamu Noguchi began to design the Akari Light Sculptures, providing weightless luminosity. He chose the name “Akari” for these objects, a word that means “light” in Japanese, connoting both illumination and physical lightness.
We made two 3D printed models of Akari Sculptures. Not as light as Noguchi’s originals, but much easier to make as well
